I live in Langley, Washington. It’s on Whidbey Island, a 25-minute ferry ride from the mainland. But I’m not alone! I’m here with Marty and her small collection of cats.

I have outlived my day job, so I now write. Sometimes historical fiction having something to do with bad behavior in the Mediterranean, 1801. Sometimes urban fantasy/ghost stories. And sometimes a small town murder mystery in the old manner.

When I’m not writing, or thinking about writing, I work on guitars. You might even find me at a site whose name is some riff on “langley fretworks”.

Oh, and cooking. Did I mention cooking? Today’s pasta sauce is a win!

In my spare time I explore the varieties of secular experience.
